Speed Control
How do I fix the speed control on for a/c?
I have a 2002 Chevy Cavalier, I have a problem. The speed control on for the a/c is messing up, it works on the second, third, and fourth setting, but it won’t work on the first. So if I want a/c at a low level, it has to be on the second setting. Any suggestions on what could be wrong?
There’s a device called the Blower Motor Resistor that is located up behind the glove box under your dash. It provides the resistances for the different blower speeds, and it’s up in that location so it gets air blown past it to keep it cool. They’re a very common problem on these cars… I think it’s an 8mm nut driver to get it out, unplug and replace.
