Wheel Drill
filing down teeth edges to create space for braces movement?
ok so I’ve had my braces for about 8 months now and just recently at my last appointment, my ortho performed a “polish” on my teeth, which meant that he used this wheel drill thing to file my lower front 4 teeth.
He said it was to allow them to move back even farther cuz they were already touching and couldnt move any further back.
basically now im kinda worried because the gaps he created seem HUGE and idk if they will close up and i feel extremely self conscious about the gaps.
he said ill be getting a “chain” in 6 weeks in my next appt.
anyone know anything about this??
are my teeth really gonna close up?
any help would be greatly appreciated. =)
Exactly what happened to me…but on my TOP four teeth! Now THAT was embarrassing! But yeah, at my next appointment I got the chain and rubber bands….HURT SO MUCH! Anyway they’ll close up, don’t worry 
I got my braces off on May 18…lookin’ sharp! You will too!
