Seat Spring
Can someone tell me how to replace a broken seat spring in my lazy boy recliner?
you will need to buy a staple puller and/or an awl and some pliers to pull stubborn or broken staples.
turn the chair over and study it to see how it has been put together–you may have to unbolt the sides. you need to remove all the staple that are holding the back part of the seat to the frame usually a black fabric stapled to the frame then folded & stapled some more. then remove the side staples that are holding down the sides of the seat ( these sides are usually a black fabric that has been stapled then the excess folded back & stapled–same as the back part.) anyways–once you get all the staples pulled, flip the seat up & out from back to front & you will have access to the springs & things you need to repair.
